Canada landmarks and landscape photography, Lake Louise sunrise.
Landscape photography is usually all about timing, never more so is it the case here! It was taken at Lake Louise, in the Rocky mountains of Canada at 0615 on a cold Canadian autumnal morning. I’d been waiting for a while for the right light and I’m really glad I did…
After standing around for a little while we both heard the thunderous echo, realising it was the noise of an avalanche reaching us from across the Lake Louise valley. Awesome, and if we weren’t fully awake, we were now!
The light was changing by the minute and I really had to get a move on to get the right exposure and freeze-frame nature doing her thing, all without blowing out those snowy highlights. We’d been there for about 40 minutes and this little show was over in seconds, I figured this was a sign.
We then trekked back in search of warm Canadian coffee and breakfast and to talk about visiting other beautiful Canada Landmarks!
